Week 15 Start 'em

QB-

Favre- Last time these two teams met, Favre threw for 340 yards and 3 TDs. don't expect numbers that high but about 250 and 2 TDs should be close.

T. Brady- Last week was a tough game for Brady, Miami cheated their way to victory. Expect brady to come out throwing against this terible Defense.

McNair- Cleveland is average against the pass, but McNair has been pretty steady with 225 and a TD or 2.

RB

J. Lewis- Jamal usually runs tough against this team and cleveland can't stop the run. Expect lewis to hit the century mark.

D. McAllister- Washington does not allow many rushing TDs so lower your expectations on a TD, but the yardage will be there.

M. Jones-Drew- With Fragile fred having hamstring issues, Jones-Drew should run all over Tenn. Don't expect him to match last weeks results, but he should play very well.

WR

Driver- Driver has scored in 5 of the last 6 games. I think Favre might like him. I think Driver will score more than once in this game.

Branch- With D-Jax out, branch becomes the number 1 guy. Should have a good chance against SF.

Burress- He has a four game streak of scoring. Last time these teams met he had 2.

TE

H. Miller- Carolina forgets about the TE. I like his chances of scoring.

V. Davis- This guy is a stud. After calling out Alex Smith, I think Smith will make it a point get the ball to this guy.

B. Watson- Make sure he is playing, but if he does, he should have a good game.

DEF

STL- Normally I would not recommend this defense, but Oaklands offense is just BAD.

N.E.- This is the Pats last home game, I think they will go out strong and make Carr make some mistakes.

Nice blog. Curious, would you start Deuce ahead of Sammy Morris (@ BUF)?

Question I'm in my division championship and i have Eli and Vince Young. Do i start Manning or pick up McNair? Also my backs are Tiki Barber,Betts,Jones-Drew,Travis Henry, and Jamal Lewis.I can start only 2 backs who?

Mike, Thanks. I would actually start Sammy Morris. Sounds kinda crazy, but both defenses are about the same and Duece will lose some carries to Bush. Also, Washington is ranked 1st in allowing Rushing TDs (at 1 per game).

John,
I would say McNair over Eli, but I don't think that Baltimore will have to pass much against Clev. Also, Eli actually played well against Philly last time.

Your RB situation is a good one to have. The only bad start I think would be Henry against Jax.

Tiki although has only ran for 1 TD this year, has had a decent year for yardage. Philly has been giving up a lot of rushing yards lately (Betts last week.

Jamal Lewis should run all over Cleveland. But whenever you think Lewis will have a good game he doesn't.

Jones-Drew is comming off a huge game and getting more touches due to Fred Taylor health problems.

If you are in a TD only league, go with Jamal and Jones Drew. If you are in a TD/yardage league, go with Barber and Jones-Drew.

My receiving corps have suffered some injuries. So who are the best three starters of this group:
L. Coles
G. Jennings
J. Shockey
Sa. Moss
M. Jones (JAC)

I made the playoffs this year and I'm looking for RB advice this week
I get points for TD's and yardage after 100 yards. My choices are: T. Barber, J. Jones, F. Taylor, and M. Barber III
Thanx

Tony Romo was a major letdown last week. Should I start him against the Falcons or Carson Palmer at Indy? BTW nice blog

RE: My receiving corps have suffered some injuries. So who are the best three starters of this group: I think your best receiver is Coles, they will be getting him the ball a lot against Minn. Next is Santana Moss (never know when he will explode and the Saints are 28 defensively against passing TDs). Finally, I think I would start shockey, he has a 2 game TD streak going.

Re:I made the playoffs this year:
Congrats on the playoffs!

I think it is safe to start Tiki agaisnt the 29th rank rushing defense. Next I would go with Fred Taylor. He practiced Thursday, so he should be playing Sunday against the 28th rank rushing defense. Just to finish it out, I like M. Barber over J. Jones.

Re: Tony Romo was a major letdown last week...

Let me try and break this one down. Indy can't stop the run, so if Cinci has half a brain, Rudi all day. That is unless Indy goes up early. They actually have the number 2 pass defense.
Dalas is coming of an embarrassing week, but Romo did not play all too bad. It is said that when good teams are embarrassed, they will blow out a mediocre team the next week. ATL's secondary is vulnerable (CB Hall is pretty solid), expect Romo and T.O. to hook up in this game.

In this tough decision.....I chose Romo.

I see you have McAllister on your "Start em" list. Would you start him over Reggie Bush and Tatum Bell?

MightyCR,

I think all 3 backs will do well. Washington is leading the Defensive category of TD allowed per game at only .3, but does allow 128 rushing yards per game. They are very bad against the pass (22nd in yards and 32 in TDs allowed). While I think Duece will get the bulk of the rushing yards, I think bush has a great chance to get alot of receiving yards and some rushing yards. I would rank your players in this order for this week. 1. Bush 2. Duece 3. Bell. But like I said, I would not hesitate to start any of them. Good luck.

I like Driver this week, but Detroit is actually ok at defending #1 WRs (b/c of Dre Bly). I'm thinking of benching him for Roy Williams and Marvin Harrison. Is that crazy?

Re: I like Driver this week.

I like Driver this week also. Go with your gut. Starting Roy williams is a good start as is Harrison. I personally would start williams over Driver too. Dry Bly is way better than GBs CBs. Harrison is a must start.
