Week 13 Start 'em
In this post, I try to stay away from the easy pick. No brainer picks (LT, LJ,etc.) can be made by anyone. These players although not sleepers, may not be easy decisions to start and also may not be relied on on a weekly basis. Make sure to check back daily as I update the players based on injuries.
QB
D. Brees- San Fran is allowing 337 yds a game and 2.8 TDs. Brees has a 5 game steak of 300+ passing yards.
C. Pennington- Last meeting was 2002- NYJ won 42-17. Expect a closer game, but the Jets are in the hunt for the Wild Card. Chad is playing well enough to win.
T. Brady- Detroit is in the lower half the the league in all defensive aspects. Brady is looking to play better than last week against an easier opponent. not to mention I am going to this game and a little wishful thinking may be involved in this decision.
S. McNair (BAL)- Cinci is scoring a lot of points lately. Baltimore might have to try and air the ball out to keep up with the high octane of ocho cinco. Cinci also is dead last in passing yards defisively.
RB
S. Jackson- Jackson is the only constant on the Rams right now, if Bulger's injury is serious, Jackson may be even more involved.
J. Addai- Seems like a trendy pick, but Indy seems to have finally picked Addai as the outright starter and not to mention that Ten is ranked 30Th against the run. Don't expect this game to be as close as the last meeting.
A. Green- Believe it or not. The Jets are the2nd worst defense against the run. green is averaging 89 yds and .333 TD against the AFC east this season.
L. Maroney/ C. Dillon- Expect the Pats to control the game and clock. One of these guys will go for 80 and a TD.
WR
M. Muhammad- Expect the yardage, but limit your expectations on scoring a TD.
D. Henderson (N.O.) - Ride the arm of D. Brees. With Colston out, Henderson has become his favorite target and oh yeah, they are playing SF.
L. Coles- it was a coin flip that decided who to pick in this one. Cotchery lost, but both may play well in this shoot out.
TE
T. Heap- Heap has 51 rec for 535 yds this year 84 of those yards came in the last match up. Both teams are playing well, so expect similar results from Heap in this game.
C. Cooley- QB J Campbell only had 118 yds last week, but 89 of them were to Cooley. It seems that Cooley is his favorite target so far.
LJ Smith- Let me list the number TEs have posted against Carolina this year. Crumpler, Heap, Cooley, Colston, Witten, Richard Owens (Min), Reggie Kelley (CIN) have all scored TDs this season against Carolina and Alex Smith (TB) had 72 yards.
DEF
KC- Kansas City Def is playing well right now and Cleveland's offense just got shut out. While another shut may not happen, expect KC to control the clock and limit the time Clev. has the ball.
NE- Playing Detroit and as I mentioned above I will be at this game. I think the fan factor will play a huge role in the outcome of this game.
Oak- Oak def is actually ranked 8th! Houston has not played well since beating Jax and that was the defense that beat them. Expect a low scoring game.

Let me ask you a question.
I have T. Romo, M. Bulger, and B. Roethlisberger and need to start one.
* T. Romo has done well against weak opponents at home and now he travels to New York to face a good Giants D which he has already thrown 3 Int. in 1 half.
* Bulger is playing Arizona at home with a rib injury and without LT O. Pace.
* Ben R. is playing Tampa at home who gave up 5 TD's last week to Romo.
Who do you start??
Matt,
I am close to amking the playoffs, and don't know which QB to start. If I choose wrong, it could mean my playoff hopes. I have Leinart @ StL, Grossman v. Minn, and V. Young v. Indy. I think it is a 2-horse race between Grossman and Leinart, what do you think?
Jimmy da Saint
I don't think that with H. Ward out Big Ben will match Romo's last week. Bulger would be a good choice, but his injury leaves too many questions. T. Romo is on a streak and the Giants let V. Young and the titans score 24 points in the 4th quarter alone. I would go with the hot han of Romo will you can.
Jimmy,
You are one win away from making a playoff berth. Does this remind you of a similar situation that happened last year? Don't feel the pressure and do something desperate. Desperate people do stupid things. You have been doing pretty well with Grossman as your QB.
Both Leinart and Young have played well lately and Grossman has not. Now that I got that out of the way, I don't think that I would put my playoffs hopes in the hands of either of the rookies. You are in a tough spot because I think Grossman is a poor performance away from seeing the bench.
Minnesota Def is 31st in passing yards with 242 per game. They do however only Average one passing TD/game so lower your expectations on TDs. Grossman at home is averaging 238yds and 2.75 TDs. My recommendation is Grossman. If he fails this week, Go with Young next week against Houston.
Which defense? Steelers or Green Bay. We only get 10pts for shutout and 5 pts for 6 and under. We do not get point for yardage against.
Reggie Brown, Randy Moss (new Offense Coordinator), nate washington
??? Confused
Yes, I have Galloway and Devery Henderson as 1 - 2 at the moment. I was just up in the air about the third one to start this weekend. THanks for you help. Happy Holidays!!!
I need to win this week to make in playoff. choose 2 rbs: J. Addai, W. McGahee or K Jones?
Thank you
Addai exploded last week. The presence of Rhodes is the only thing keeping me from listing him as a Sure Thing against the Titans 30th ranked rush defense.
Jones was a surprise scratch on Thanksgiving but he should be healthy enough to play on Sunday. There are some questions on how healthy he will be and how productive he will be against the Patriots tough run defense. I would say forget about it but the Bears were able to run on the Patriots last week and Junior Seau is out for the year with a broken arm.
The San Diego defense was strong enough and now they get the steroid user Shawn Merriman back. Could be a rough day for McGahee.
After all that....go with Addai and Jones.

I need a third receiver this week and we can play TE's as receivers. My choices are: S. Moss, G. Jennings, or J. Shockey. What is the best option for me.
I would take my chances with S. Moss.
